About Icon Design

Three decades of metal, one careful pair of hands.

Icon Design Architectural Metals was founded by John Herber in 2017 after more than 28 years working in the architectural metal trade with one of Dubuque's most respected sheet metal companies.

Today the shop serves homeowners, builders, architects, and municipalities throughout the Greater Dubuque Area — including Bettendorf, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Bellevue, and Madison — with the kind of work you can only get from a craftsman who has spent a career bending metal.

Whether the job is a single copper chimney cap or the metal envelope of a civic building, every project gets the same attention: drawn, measured, and made to last.
